About the Role
The Diocese of Evo Education Board, the administrative arm of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) in Rivers State, is seeking a passionate and experienced Physics Teacher. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping young minds, fostering a deep understanding of physical sciences, and maintaining the high academic and moral standards of our missionary institution in Obio-Akpor.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, comprehensive, and interactive Physics lessons to secondary school students.
- Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations including WAEC and NECO.
- Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) with a specialization in Physics, or a Bachelor’s degree in Physics with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional teaching experience in a recognized secondary school.
- At least 3 years of proven experience successfully preparing students for WAEC and NECO examinations.
- In-depth knowledge of modern pedagogical approaches and practical teaching aids.
