The Diocese of Evo Education Board is seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher for our Senior Secondary School located in Obio-Akpor, Rivers State. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Mathematics lessons for Senior Secondary School students in alignment with the national curriculum.
- Prepare students effectively for external examinations, specifically WAEC, NECO, and other relevant assessments.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to improve academic performance.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and active student participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration in organizing academic activities, staff meetings, and co-curricular programs.
- Uphold the moral and ethical standards of the institution while mentoring students toward holistic development.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) in Mathematics or a related discipline with a recognized teaching certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of active classroom teaching experience at the secondary school level.
- Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years successfully handling WAEC and NECO senior secondary classes is a strong added advantage.
- Thorough knowledge of contemporary pedagogical approaches and effective classroom management techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage students, parents, and staff effectively.
