About the Role
Rex Christus College Kubwa, a prestigious Catholic secondary school located in Abuja, is seeking a qualified and passionate Physics Teacher to join our dedicated teaching staff. Since our establishment in 2010 under the vision of John Cardinal Onaiyekan, we have maintained a commitment to academic excellence, technological literacy, and the development of strong moral character. With over 400 junior and senior secondary students, we provide a supportive learning environment where educators can make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with the Nigerian curriculum and school standards
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and scientific inquiry
- Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods
- Participate in school activities, pastoral care, and student mentoring programs
- Contribute to the development and review of physics curricula
- Bachelor's degree in Education with specialization in Physics (B.Ed, NCE, or equivalent)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is advantageous
- Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning and moral development
