About the Role
Showers Christian High School is a fully accredited, prestigious educational institution recognized by the Rivers State and Federal Ministries of Education, as well as the British Council. We prepare students for top-tier examinations including WAEC, NECO, CIE Cambridge Checkpoint, O and A Levels, TOEFL, IELTS, and SAT. We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to join our esteemed academic team and inspire the next generation of critical thinkers.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Physics lessons aligned with Nigerian and British curricula.
- Prepare students effectively for national and international examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and Cambridge O/A Levels.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to ensure academic excellence.
- Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry-based learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and continuous assessment reports.
- Participate actively in school meetings, professional development programs, and extracurricular activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Education (Physics), or a related scientific discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven teaching experience delivering Physics at the secondary school level.
- Familiarity with both Nigerian (WAEC/NECO) and British (Cambridge International Examinations) curricula is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and commitment to Christian educational values.
- Possession of relevant teaching certifications (e.g., TRCN) will be an added advantage.
