About the Role
Taqwa Private Schools, a prestigious co-educational Islamic institution located in Ifako-Ijaiye, Agege, Lagos, is seeking a passionate and innovative Physics and Further Maths Teacher to join our academic team. In this role, you will prepare senior secondary students (SS1–SS3) for critical internal and external examinations including WAEC, NECO, and JAMB, while upholding the moral and spiritual values of our school community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and interactive Physics and Further Maths lessons aligned with WAEC, NECO, and JAMB syllabi.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching aids, and practical laboratory demonstrations to enhance student comprehension.
- Foster a student-centered classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Assess, monitor, and record student academic progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and mentorship.
- Integrate Islamic values, discipline, and ethical guidance into daily classroom management and teaching practices.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and school management to improve curriculum delivery and overall school development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years proven teaching experience at the senior secondary school level.
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum for Physics and Further Maths.
- Demonstrated ability to use creative, hands-on, and modern instructional methods.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
