We are seeking a passionate and qualified Accounting and Economics Teacher to join our committed team of educators in delivering exceptional academic standards and shaping the future of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Economics and Accounting according to the approved curriculum.
  • Teach microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial accounting principles, and related topics effectively.
  • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching aids that make complex financial and economic principles easy to understand.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external examinations including WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE where applicable.
  • Assess, record, and report on students' academic progress while providing constructive, actionable feedback.
  • Encourage students to think critically about economic issues, financial data, government policies, and real-world applications.
  • Integrate ICT tools, charts, and practical case studies into daily lessons to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Supervise class projects, academic clubs, debates, and discussions on economic and financial trends.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, motivating, and values-driven learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school management to continuously improve teaching and learning standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or PGDE is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of proven teaching experience in secondary school Accounting and Economics.
  • Strong knowledge of WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE curricula and examination standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology and ICT tools into lesson delivery.
  • Alignment with the Christian values and child-centered philosophy of KAYS Schools.
