About the Role
Our Lady & St. Francis Catholic College (OSCCO), Osogbo is a prestigious elite, co-educational secondary school operating under the corporate proprietorship of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo. We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Physical & Health Education Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the physical, mental, and social well-being of our students through engaging curriculum delivery, sports coaching, and health education.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver comprehensive Physical and Health Education lessons in accordance with the national secondary school curriculum.
- Encourage student participation in intra- and inter-school sports competitions, athletics, and physical fitness activities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support holistic development.
- Instill discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership qualities in students through athletic programs.
- Maintain and ensure the safe use of sports equipment, facilities, and athletic grounds.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to organize annual sports events and extracurricular activities.
- Promote health and safety awareness among students, fostering a healthy lifestyle within the school community.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical and Health Education (B.Ed / B.Sc) or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant teaching certifications (e.g., TRCN registration) are required.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Show a strong commitment to academic excellence, moral discipline, and professional integrity.
- Prior teaching experience in a reputable secondary school setting will be an added advantage.
