Matrix International Academy, a leading private educational institution in Gombe State, Nigeria, is recruiting an experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be instrumental in promoting physical wellness, developing athletic skills, and instilling values of teamwork and discipline across our Nursery, Primary, and Secondary school divisions. Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with both Nigerian and British curricula standards
- Develop students' physical competencies, motor skills, and sporting abilities across all age groups
- Organize and supervise sports events, inter-house competitions, and athletic programs
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development
- Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of wellness and healthy living
- Maintain detailed records and submit reports on student performance and curriculum coverage
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Physical Education or related field
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in the relevant subject
- Minimum 2 years of professional teaching experience (preferred)
- Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities
- Passion for physical education and student development
