Noble Guide Academy is a reputable faith-based co-educational institution with over 15 years of excellence in delivering quality education to Muslim children in Abuja. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing and dynamic environment, and we are currently seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced Physical Development Teacher to join our vibrant Primary School team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the physical, mental, and social well-being of our young learners by promoting active and healthy lifestyles.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs our Physical Development Teacher, you will be entrusted with shaping the physical curriculum and fostering a love for wellness. Your core duties will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate physical development lessons and sporting activities for primary students.
- Developing pupils' fundamental motor skills, physical coordination, agility, fitness, and teamwork.
- Promoting healthy lifestyles, personal hygiene, and wellness practices across the primary section.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment that encourages participation from all students.
- Assessing student progress and collaborating with colleagues to integrate holistic child development practices.
- Supervising sports equipment maintenance and ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed during all activities.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity at Noble Guide Academy, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Physical and Health Education, Human Kinetics, Sports Science, Education, or a related field.
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is an added advantage for non-education degree holders.
- At least 2 years of active teaching experience in a recognized primary school setting.
- Previous experience teaching within a Cambridge Associate School environment will be a strong added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of modern physical education pedagogies and child development milestones.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate approach to mentoring children.
