About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, providing reliable power to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a dynamic Phone Business Manager - Retail to drive our retail expansion and sales delivery across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Own regional sales delivery across Sun King Shops and Partner Stores by tracking daily performance and swiftly addressing unproductive outlets.
- Recruit, onboard, and supervise retail staff, ensuring timely certifications and conducting structured coaching sessions.
- Maintain high sales quality and collections standards by monitoring portfolio health, customer screening, and managing arrears.
- Manage end-to-end inventory across stores, ensuring zero stock variance and enforcing optimal brand merchandising standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partner store owners while coordinating seamlessly with regional agent channels.
- Hold a minimum of an HND or BSc in a business-related field with at least 4 years of experience in retail sales, telco device retail, or multi-store operations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing in-store sales staff across multiple locations.
- Familiarity with PAYG, device financing, or installment-credit exposure within low-income consumer segments.
- Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in CRM tools, Looker, and advanced Excel for data-driven decision-making.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned Nigerian region.
