About the Role
Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent De Paul Hospital is a reputable, faith-based healthcare institution located in Kubwa, Abuja, dedicated to bridging the gap between formal public health services and community health needs, particularly in underserved rural populations. We are currently seeking a motivated and qualified Pharmacy Intern to join our dynamic hospital pharmacy team. In this role, you will work side-by-side with experienced pharmacists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, gaining invaluable exposure to comprehensive hospital pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical care, and patient-centered service delivery in a compassionate healing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist experienced pharmacists in the accurate dispensing of medications and management of pharmaceutical inventories.
- Provide compassionate, high-quality customer service and patient counseling on proper medication usage and adherence.
- Participate in routine stock audits, drug quality checks, and maintenance of optimal storage conditions for pharmaceuticals.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare team members to promote rational drug use and enhance patient safety outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, drug dispensation, and daily pharmacy transactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognized institution.
- Must have officially taken the Pharmacist Oath and been fully inducted into the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Required to successfully sit for the hospital's internship examination and actively participate in the subsequent oral assessment.
- Demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
