About the Role
Excel Health Med is an AI-driven, holistic e-health ecosystem focused on delivering predictive, personalized, and culturally relevant digital healthcare across Africa, with a strong current footprint in Lagos, Nigeria. We are seeking an ambitious and licensed Pharmacist / Pharmacy Lead to spearhead safe and effective medication services across our physical clinic, telehealth, home-care, and medication-delivery pathways. This dynamic role merges clinical pharmacy practice, medication management, patient education, stock governance, and service development within a cutting-edge healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense and manage medications safely and accurately, targeting a dispensing accuracy of 98 percent or higher.
- Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and accurate dosing.
- Provide comprehensive medication counselling and ongoing adherence support for chronic disease patients, particularly those managing hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory conditions.
- Oversee pharmacy inventory, stock levels, expiry dates, and optimal storage requirements while minimizing avoidable stock-outs.
- Establish and maintain robust pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs), medication governance frameworks, and internal audit processes.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and care coordinators.
- Manage procurement relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers and support community health education and outreach programmes.
- Licensed Pharmacist with current registration to practice in Nigeria and strong professional accountability.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in community, hospital, primary care, or digital health settings.
- Solid understanding of medication safety, pharmacovigilance, adverse drug reaction reporting, and Nigerian data-protection requirements.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient-counselling skills with comfort working in digital health systems.
