In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care focused on women, children, and family health, ensuring the highest standards of medication safety and patient satisfaction within a thriving clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compound and dispense medications accurately as prescribed by attending medical doctors.
  • Monitor patient drug therapies, advise on clinical interventions, and inform patients of potential side effects.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients on how and when to take prescribed medications.
  • Conduct routine health and wellness screenings, administer immunizations, and perform diagnostic checks including blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar levels.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records utilizing the hospital electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Ensure a safe, sterile, and clean working environment within the pharmacy department.
  • Fulfill operational requirements by verifying order entries, maintaining meticulous records of controlled substances, and removing expired or damaged inventory.
  • Adhere strictly to all applicable legal rules, regulations, and professional procedures governing pharmaceutical practice in Nigeria.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid practicing license from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience practicing in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and patient counseling techniques.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and pharmacy management software.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
