About the Role
Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier university teaching hospital dedicated to holistic wellness, medical excellence, research, and education. We are currently seeking a qualified and dynamic Pharmacist to join our professional healthcare team and contribute to advancing medical standards in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and provide comprehensive counseling to patients regarding proper drug usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment outcomes.
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, monitor stock levels, and ensure proper storage and security of all medications and medical supplies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate actively in clinical ward rounds, research initiatives, and healthcare training programs within the teaching hospital.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, pharmacy laws, and ethical standards set by relevant regulatory bodies.
- Possess a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) certificate from a recognized institution.
- Hold a current registration and valid practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Must possess the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate.
- Demonstrate relevant post-qualification experience in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Exhibit high levels of professional integrity, excellent interpersonal communication, and strong ICT compliance skills.
