About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Mortuary Technician for the Anatomy Dissecting Hall within our Pathology Department. In this vital role, you will support medical education, research, and post-mortem operations while maintaining the highest standards of dignity and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pathologists and anatomy instructors during autopsies, dissections, and practical examinations in the dissecting hall.
- Prepare, maintain, and sterilize mortuary instruments, equipment, and anatomical specimens.
- Ensure the proper handling, identification, storage, and release of deceased individuals with utmost dignity and respect.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all mortuary and dissecting hall activities in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Adhere strictly to biosafety, infection control, and occupational health guidelines within the mortuary environment.
- Collaborate effectively with medical students, faculty, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
- Must possess relevant academic and professional certifications in mortuary science, anatomy technology, or a related field.
- Must be duly registered with the appropriate professional regulatory body where applicable and hold a valid practicing license.
- Demonstrated relevant post-qualification experience working in a hospital mortuary, university anatomy department, or similar setting.
- High level of integrity, emotional resilience, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be ICT compliant with the ability to manage digital record systems.
