About the Role
Lily Hospitals Limited, a leading multi-specialty private healthcare provider established in 1984, is looking for a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications while delivering world-class pharmaceutical care to our valued patients within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely in accordance with approved prescriptions and professional standards.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
- Provide patients with comprehensive information and counselling on the use, dosage, and possible side effects of medications.
- Monitor medication therapy and identify potential medication-related problems.
- Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and pharmaceutical interventions.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, inventory control, and stock rotation of all pharmaceutical products.
- Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant regulatory, professional, and organisational standards.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognised institution.
- Duly registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) with a current practicing licence.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in medication dispensing, patient counselling, and inventory management.
- Strong working knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and hospital management systems.
- High ethical standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.
