About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of outsourcing, technical staffing, and support services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient management, dispensing, monitoring, and supply of medications. You will also provide expert pharmaceutical care, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams, maintain accurate inventory records, and promote optimal medication use and patient outcomes in alignment with global best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications accurately, maintain comprehensive documentation, and monitor drug usage to ensure effective re-stocking.
- Provide expert advice and personalized drug counselling to patients to enhance treatment adherence.
- Conduct periodic stock-taking of drugs and pharmaceutical materials to maintain strict accountability.
- Inform physicians regarding available drug formularies and prevalent prescription patterns.
- Estimate the quantity and value of required drug purchases, follow up on orders, and receive supplied items.
- Document the reception and issuance of drugs and materials using specialized stock management software.
- Ensure the absolute security and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy facility.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff on the wards to advise on optimal medicine selection, dosage, and routes of administration.
- Manage medication shortages proactively by liaising with primary healthcare pharmacies and utilizing imprest funds for emergencies.
- Perform prescription monitoring, clinical interventions, medicine reconciliation, and report adverse drug reactions for robust pharmacovigilance.
- Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy interns and industrial trainees.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy practice.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with the relevant professional regulatory body.
- Extensive knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication management, and clinical pharmaceutical care.
- Proficiency in inventory control, stock management, and pharmaceutical procurement processes. Strong computer literacy with hands-on experience using pharmacy and stock management software.
