About the Role
Recore Limited is a leading Nigerian human resources and outsourcing firm dedicated to helping businesses achieve peak performance. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven PET Field Collection Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving our environmental sustainability initiatives by expanding our plastic collection network, onboarding new pickers, and ensuring efficient material recovery operations across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities- Scout assigned areas for viable PET sources and onboard new pickers and collectors to expand the collection network.
- Build and manage productive relationships with collectors while monitoring their compliance with operational procedures and quality standards.
- Coordinate the timely pickup and movement of collected materials to designated processing facilities when necessary.
- Inspect PET bottles thoroughly to ensure they meet company specifications for type, cleanliness, and overall quality.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collectors, collection points, material volumes, and daily pickups.
- Proactively drive initiatives to increase collection volumes, resolve operational challenges on the field, and achieve assigned targets.
- Minimum of an OND, NCE, or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Proven field operations, sales, or community mobilization experience, preferably within the recycling or waste management sector.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with local collectors and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage logistics efficiently.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in various field environments.
- Good knowledge of the local terrain and communities within the assigned operational area.
