About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Personal Assistant to the COO with a strong accounting background to join our reputable organization in Nigeria. In this critical dual-function role, you will provide high-level administrative, financial, and analytical support to the Chief Operating Officer. You will play a vital role in reviewing financial information, tracking operational expenditures, preparing comprehensive reports, and seamlessly coordinating day-to-day executive activities to drive business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and accounting support to the COO to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Prepare, review, and organize financial reports, expense schedules, reconciliations, and other critical financial documentation.
  • Monitor budgets, expenditures, payment requests, and financial commitments as assigned by executive management.
  • Assist with financial analysis and the preparation of accurate management reports.
  • Maintain secure and accurate records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate the COO’s meetings, appointments, correspondence, and actionable follow-up items.
  • Prepare professional presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and briefing documents.
  • Liaise effectively with the Finance and Accounts department as well as other business units on behalf of the COO.
  • Track assigned operational and financial deliverables to ensure timely execution.
  • Handle confidential financial and executive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, executive support, or a similar corporate role.
  • Professional accounting qualification or active progress towards ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent will be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office productivity applications.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for a corporate environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple competing priorities, and maintain strict confidentiality.
