About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc, Africa's leading cement producer, is looking for a skilled and dedicated Packing Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic operations team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will support the Head of Packing Plant in overseeing maintenance, ensuring optimal machine utilization, and maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards during cement packing and loading activities.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all packing plant maintenance activities are executed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Supervise machine operators to guarantee personnel safety and proper equipment utilization.
- Oversee the implementation of approved plant operational plans to meet daily production targets.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality Control departments prior to commencing cement packing and loading.
- Manage shift teams effectively to resolve maintenance issues immediately and prevent dispatch delays.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to subordinate team members.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Postgraduate or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of cement production processes, packing machines, and industry best practices.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and keen attention to detail.
