About the Role
Sterling Model College, a premier co-educational private institution located in Kubwa, Abuja, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical and Health Education (P.H.E) Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. As a P.H.E Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the physical, mental, and social development of our students across the primary and secondary sections. You will deliver engaging, structured lessons that encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits within our safe, clean, and conducive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging P.H.E lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school standards.
- Promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and overall wellness among students of various age groups.
- Organize and supervise intra-school and inter-house sports competitions, physical training sessions, and extracurricular sporting activities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records of participation and performance.
- Ensure the safe use and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities.
- Foster a disciplined, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages all students to participate actively.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Physical and Health Education, Education, or a related field (NCE or relevant certifications will also be considered).
- Proven teaching experience in a recognized primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong passion for youth development, athletics, and holistic education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
