We are currently looking for a passionate and qualified Assistant Lecturer in Sociology to join our vibrant academic community and contribute to our mission of holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive and engaging lectures to undergraduate nursing and health science students in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Develop and update course materials, lecture notes, assignments, and examination questions for sociology courses.
- Assess and grade student assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Mentor and advise students on academic performance, professional conduct, and career pathways within the healthcare sector.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and college committees as assigned by management.
- Engage in continuous professional development, research, and community service initiatives representing the college.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Sociology or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Possession of a Master's degree (M.Sc.) or enrollment in a postgraduate program will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, academic research, and student mentorship in a tertiary institution environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with fluency in English.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and modern e-learning educational tools.
