About the Role
Jumia is Nigeria's number one online shopping destination, providing a trusted and convenient e-commerce experience with a wide range of electronics, fashion, home appliances, and more. We are currently looking for a results-driven Outbound Team Lead to manage our pick, pack, and dispatch processes at our fulfillment center in Abuja, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely deliveries for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the usage of packing materials, ensuring usage matches dispatched orders and minimizing waste through weekly cycle counts.
- Create and develop packaging guidelines for each category of items while planning capacity in line with weekly volume projections.
- Coordinate same-day deliveries with the inventory team to ensure 100% of orders are shipped on time.
- Confirm all shipping, picking deadlines, and priority cut-off times are consistently met.
- Achieve and monitor 100% of outbound KPIs, tracking success and addressing recurring operational problems.
- Track and maintain productivity standards for each associate, controlling miss-shipments and backorders.
- Audit outbound products, shipment accuracy, team attendance, and working performance.
- Update the team schedule weekly and provide daily reporting and constructive feedback to management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in warehousing, outbound operations, or order management in a supervisory capacity.
- Background experience in Quality Assurance (QA) management is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office Suite applications.
- Proven ability to deploy and prioritize workforce effectively to meet daily shipping targets under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess an NYSC certificate or a valid exemption letter.
- Candidate must be currently based in Abuja, Nigeria.
