About the Role
Dana Group, one of Nigeria's most respected and diversified conglomerates with extensive operations in manufacturing, automobiles, and aviation, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Technician. In this role, you will play a critical part in our automotive division by ensuring all vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards of safety and quality, supporting our commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs as specified in the service checklist and vehicle repair order.
- Ensure all services and repairs are performed thoroughly in accordance with company quality standards and best practices.
- Perform genuine replacement of parts and ensure services are rendered according to the required scope of work.
- Diagnose and identify technical faults accurately, determining the correct corrective measures.
- Identify and requisition the correct spare parts required for assigned jobs.
- Ensure all assigned work is completed professionally and vehicles are clean and presentable prior to workshop release.
- Maintain standard Flat Rate Time (FRT) on all mechanical works.
- Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety systems, environmental procedures, and regulations.
- Minimum of a Diploma, Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience as an auto technician with a minimum of 3 years in a similar professional role.
- Sound knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostic systems and mechanical components.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair tasks across a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications such as trade tests or automotive service excellence will be an added advantage.
