About the Role
Vetta Eye Clinic is a prominent and rapidly expanding eye care provider located in Abuja, Nigeria. Operating from three distinct state-of-the-art locations, we are dedicated to delivering top-tier vision care and diagnostics. We are currently seeking a passionate, qualified Optometrist to join our dynamic team and help us continue our mission of improving community eye health through clinical excellence and advanced medical technology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and accurate full eye examinations and vision testing for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose ocular diseases, visual defects, and systemic conditions with ocular manifestations.
- Prescribe and dispense appropriate corrective lenses, prescription glasses, and contact lenses.
- Utilize modern laboratory and diagnostic equipment for advanced ocular assessments.
- Provide expert patient education on proper eye care, lens maintenance, and preventative visual health.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records for all patients.
- Collaborate effectively with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient management.
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid practicing license from the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board of Nigeria (ODOBN).
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical practice experience in a reputable eye clinic or hospital.
- Proficiency in operating modern ophthalmic and diagnostic laboratory equipment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-management skills.
