Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough eye examinations and precise vision testing for patients of all ages.
- Recommend, fit, and dispense prescription glasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on individual patient needs.
- Operate advanced laboratory equipment to process and verify optical prescriptions accurately.
- Provide expert advice and education to patients on proper eyewear maintenance and eye health best practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory of frames, lenses, and optical supplies.
- Collaborate seamlessly with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
- Possession of relevant optical qualifications, degrees, or certifications from a recognized institution.
- Proven professional experience working as an Optician in a reputable clinic or optical retail environment.
- Deep knowledge of ophthalmic optics, lens types, and modern laboratory equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to healthcare delivery.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Valid practicing license or registration with relevant professional bodies in Nigeria is an added advantage.
