About the Role
DHL, the global market leader in logistics and express delivery, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager for our Lagos Hub (LOS HUB). In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall management of hub operations, executing policies, ensuring strict compliance with aviation safety standards, and driving service excellence across dedicated networks and commercial flights.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate hub operational activities to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective processing of express parcels and freight.
- Direct and ensure compliance with established DHL corporate, global airside safety, and local regulatory policies.
- Collaborate with government agencies such as FAAN, NCAA, Nigeria Customs, and Immigration Services to maintain efficient operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, facility management, and workforce productivity.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the LOS Hub operations team, fostering employee engagement and talent development.
- Manage fleet and infrastructure to ensure optimum output and prevent disruptions to hub operations.
- Oversee profitability, budgeting, and cost-control measures within the hub to achieve regional business objectives.
- University degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the express or logistics industry, with a strong background in airside operations.
- In-depth knowledge of customs operations, aviation industry standards, and express operations applications.
- Proven track record of managing large teams and key operational processes.
- Exceptional communication, risk management, planning, and negotiation skills.
