About the Role

The People Practice is partnering with a premier bespoke catering brand to recruit a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee day-to-day operations, bridging the gap between high-level strategy and seamless execution. You will manage systems, staff, inventory, and workflows to ensure exceptional food production quality, workplace safety, and maximized profitability in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement robust systems to monitor inventory, minimise waste, and meet operational demands.
  • Oversee daily catering operations to guarantee seamless workflow, punctuality, and flawless task execution.
  • Plan projects, large-scale events, prep schedules, and operational timelines proactively to eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Manage kitchen and operational staff effectively through clear scheduling, delegation, and performance monitoring.
  • Deliver comprehensive weekly reports on operational efficiency, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
  • Identify operational challenges swiftly and implement practical, immediate solutions.
  • Maintain strict standards of hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance across all workstations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate terms, manage supply levels, and prevent stockouts.
  • Continuously refine operational processes to elevate productivity and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; an MBA is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven experience in operations management, ideally within the food manufacturing, hospitality, or retail sectors.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, cost control, budgeting, and waste reduction.
  • Strong proficiency in operational planning, scheduling tools, and detailed reporting.
