About the Role

ABNL Limited is a leading 100% indigenous oil and gas servicing company incorporated in 1992, dedicated to delivering professional engineering and technical solutions across Nigeria and the West African sub-region. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Operator III to join our dynamic operations team, contributing to safe, reliable, and efficient well and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment and wells strictly adhering to safety and operational guidelines to meet daily production targets and prevent failures.
  • Implement daily work objectives, maintain excellent housekeeping, and actively participate in safety, health, environmental, and security meetings.
  • Conduct continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to identify, report, and execute corrective and optimization actions.
  • Function as an Equipment Care Technician, performing routine preventive maintenance and reporting any emergency shutdown system malfunctions.
  • Coordinate shift handovers with detailed, accurate data to guarantee operational continuity and maintain comprehensive event logs.
  • Collect product samples for laboratory testing, execute field analyses, and actively support emergency response protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Shift Supervisor and team members to diagnose well-producing problems, monitor production rates, and prepare surface equipment for intervention operations.

Qualifications
  • Completed secondary education with proven prior experience working as a Field Technician in the oil and gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in pipeline operations, safety management tools, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
  • In-depth familiarity with emergency preparedness procedures, project philosophy, design specifications, and relevant commercial agreements.
