About the Role

ABNL Limited is a leading 100% indigenous oil and gas servicing company incorporated in 1992, dedicated to providing professional engineering and technical solutions across Nigeria and the West African sub-region. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Operator III to join our dynamic operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating equipment and wells while adhering strictly to safety, health, environmental, and security guidelines to ensure optimal resource administration and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement daily work objectives while maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security protocols.
  • Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular, reported safety sessions.
  • Monitor wells and equipment continuously to identify and implement corrective and optimization actions for reliable operations.
  • Function as an Equipment Care Technician, performing routine preventive maintenance and simple servicing activities.
  • Provide detailed, clear, and accurate shift handover information to guarantee operations continuity across shifts.
  • Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance tasks in alignment with corrective, predictive, and preventive schedules.
  • Maintain a comprehensive logbook of operational events, abnormal situations, and equipment deviations.
  • Collect product samples for laboratory analysis and execute essential field tests.
  • Provide critical assistance during well work interventions, ensuring wellheads and surface equipment are fully maintained beforehand.

Qualifications
  • Completed Secondary Education with proven previous experience as a Field Technician in the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated high standard of Safety, Health, and Environment aptitude.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience in pipeline operations and safety management tools.
  • Strong familiarity with emergency preparedness procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot well producing problems and support intervention operations.
