About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of technical staffing and outsourcing services to Nigeria's thriving oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a diligent and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician I to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of field electrical maintenance, supporting critical electrical isolations (LOTO), and maintaining high standards of safety and operational availability for lighting, HVAC, and motor systems.
Key Responsibilities- Support field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (Lock Out Tag Out) for lighting, air conditioning, and motor maintenance.
- Verify and issue electrical work permits to contractors, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and immediate intervention on unsafe acts.
- Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews and supervise contractors to prevent rework and ensure compliance with Maintenance Procedures and Practices.
- Plan and execute scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
- Provide daily progress updates to the First Line Supervisor (FLS) and planner, and obtain proper approvals before implementing any changes.
- Verify and formally accept completed jobs from contractors.
- Previous experience in a closely related position, preferably within the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
- Discipline-appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps.
- Strong team player mentality, capable of fostering effective collaboration and assisting others across various levels.
- High adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities.
