About the Role
Novel Alliance for Development Aid (NADA) is a national humanitarian NGO dedicated to supporting crisis-affected communities in northeast and northwest Nigeria. We are currently seeking an experienced Operations and Compliance Coordinator to lead our finance, procurement, and logistics departments, ensuring full adherence to donor guidelines and maintaining organizational audit-readiness at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily office and program operations, ensuring efficient workflows and timely support to field teams.
- Supervise the finance, procurement, and logistics teams, overseeing bookkeeping, budget monitoring, and vendor selection.
- Ensure full compliance with donor requirements, grant agreements, Nigerian regulations, and internal policies.
- Lead audit preparation, coordinate with external auditors, and maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation.
- Oversee fleet operations, inventory management, warehousing, and asset registration.
- Mentor department staff, conduct performance appraisals, and promote anti-fraud and safeguarding standards.
- Prepare consolidated operational, financial, and compliance reports for senior management and donors.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in operations, finance, procurement, or compliance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within an NGO.
- Strong working knowledge of donor compliance standards such as USAID, FCDO, EU, and UN agencies.
- Professional certifications such as ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, CIPS, or PMP are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with high professional integrity.
