About the Role
Hayok Medicare Limited is a dynamic healthcare organization based in Abuja, dedicated to developing innovative solutions for Nigeria's developmental health challenges. We are currently looking for an expert OpenMRS Software Specialist to drive the configuration, integration, and optimization of Electronic Medical Record systems across primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and customize OpenMRS to reflect clinical and administrative workflows across primary healthcare centers, general hospitals, and teaching hospitals.
- Set up patient registration, clinical documentation, laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, billing, and reporting modules.
- Collaborate with clinicians and technical teams to translate hospital requirements into functional OpenMRS workflows and dashboards.
- Develop and modify forms, concepts, metadata, and user access permissions to ensure system security and efficiency.
- Support interoperability with digital health systems including DHIS2, laboratory systems, and HL7/FHIR standards.
- Facilitate seamless data migration, user acceptance testing, system upgrades, and comprehensive training for healthcare workers.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on digital health and OpenMRS implementation experience within healthcare environments.
- Strong technical proficiency in Java, JavaScript/React, REST APIs, MySQL, Linux server administration, Docker, and Git.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian healthcare workflows, public sector health programmes, and clinical terminology management.
