About the Role

A major player in the oil & gas sector urgently requires an experienced Oiler to support critical maritime operations in Warri.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct engine room watchkeeping duties, including routine cleaning, repairs, and maintenance
- Execute assigned tasks safely while reporting hazardous conditions immediately to the OIM or supervisor
- Demonstrate full familiarity with relevant regulations, safety standards, and work procedures
- Monitor and maintain pollution control measures, identifying and reporting unplanned discharges of water, oil, gas, or chemicals
- Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) system and equipment isolation procedures
- Use correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling discharges or leaks
- Dispose of used or broken materials per established procedures
- Support emergency response roles and demonstrate competence during emergency drills
- STCW Regulation A-II/4 certification or equivalent engine watch qualification
- Proven experience in marine engine room operations
- Knowledge of Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment procedures
- Proficiency with diagnostic software and standard MS equipment
- Experience with hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental management systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols strictly
