We are recruiting a competent and safety-conscious Oiler to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining, repairing, and operating engine room equipment while ensuring strict adherence to safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain engine room watches as assigned and monitor equipment performance
- Assist with engine room cleaning, repairs, and routine maintenance activities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance following approved procedures
- Support machinery operation and ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition
- Follow Permit to Work (PTW) procedures for all applicable tasks
- Comply with machinery isolation and lock-out/tag-out safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, and environmental hazards promptly
- Participate in pollution prevention activities and respond to spills or leaks appropriately
- Actively engage in emergency response drills and execute assigned emergency duties
- Ensure all work complies with company HSE policies and regulations
- Proven experience as an Oiler, Motorman, Engine Rating, or similar marine engineering position
- Valid STCW Engine Room Watch Rating Certificate (Regulation III/4) or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of marine engine room operations and maintenance practices
- Understanding of PTW procedures, risk assessment, and machinery isolation protocols
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, pumps, diesel engines, and auxiliary machinery
- Experience with safety and environmental management systems (advantageous)
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance

- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance reporting systems
