About the Role
Arion Energy Services is an innovative engineering, projects, and operations services provider dedicated to the oil and gas, power, and maritime industries. We are currently seeking a skilled Offshore Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of mechanical equipment and utility systems on offshore installations through expert maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and utility systems using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical faults and execute effective repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for new or overhauled equipment.
- Manage and monitor stock control for mechanical spare parts and essential consumables.
- Ensure strict compliance with Permit to Work procedures and generate comprehensive work orders and maintenance reports.
- Actively participate in Emergency Response Team duties and maintain rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, or extensive relevant marine industry experience.
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience maintaining production, marine, and utility equipment within the oil and gas sector, ideally on an FPSO or offshore installation.
- Proficiency in computer applications, specifically Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Bilingual capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Successful completion of required assessments, including the Marlins English Language Assessment and OPITO Skills Assessment.
