About the Role
Habrams Energy is seeking a technically proficient and driven Petrophysicist III to join our dynamic subsurface team in Nigeria. In this key role, you will lead petrophysical evaluations and provide critical technical support across exploration, appraisal, field development, and reservoir management activities. By collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and joint venture partners, you will help us unlock exceptional value and drive successful oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise comprehensive petrophysical evaluations and cost-effective logging programmes, including wireline, LWD/MWD, and core acquisition.
- Conduct detailed analyses to accurately determine reservoir properties, hydrocarbon potential, porosity, water saturation, permeability, and net pay.
- Generate and interpret Computer Processed Interpretation (CPI) plots to support robust static and dynamic reservoir modelling.
- Integrate high-quality petrophysical data seamlessly into reservoir studies and Full Field Development Plans (FFDPs).
- Monitor reservoir fluid movements, saturation changes, fluid contacts, and overall production performance.
- Provide expert petrophysical input for horizontal well interpretations, drilling proposals, and workover operations.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Young Technical Professionals (YTPs) and trainee engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related geoscience discipline.
- Extensive and relevant hands-on experience in petrophysics within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Strong expertise in well log interpretation, reservoir characterisation, and data integration.
- Proven background in supporting field development planning, integrated subsurface studies, and joint venture operations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, solve complex analytical problems, and mentor junior staff.
