About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading consultancy and human resource development firm in Nigeria, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Drilling Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing offshore drilling operations, ensuring optimal performance, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage operational risks effectively and implement corrective actions promptly when required.
- Monitor drilling parameters closely and recommend strategic improvements to maximize overall performance.
- Ensure proper well control practices are strictly maintained throughout all offshore operations.
- Review and approve daily drilling reports and comprehensive operational documentation.
- Ensure continuous compliance with international and local well control standards.
- Verify the functionality and rigorous testing of Blowout Preventer (BOP) systems.
- Monitor kick detection and well control indicators to preemptively address potential hazards.
- Lead critical well control operations whenever necessary.
- Ensure all on-site personnel maintain valid and up-to-date well control certifications.
- Minimum of 15+ years of extensive experience in offshore drilling operations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3 to 5-year tertiary degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
- Valid industry-standard well control certifications.
- Proven leadership capabilities with a strong track record of managing operational risks in the oil and gas sector.
