About the Role
Ecobank Nigeria is looking for a dynamic and analytical Middle Office Officer to support the efficiency of our risk management processes by promptly identifying key risks and collaborating with stakeholders. In this role, you will provide independent control, oversight, and analytical support across the investment lifecycle, trading, and advisory processes within a fast-paced banking environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily valuations for all funds and manage the spectrum of the valuation process to ensure same-day pricing and communication.
- Execute trade and transaction controls, ensuring strict compliance with established governance protocols and internal policies.
- Conduct critical reconciliations and exception management reporting for trades, client positions, securities, brokers, and custodians.
- Produce comprehensive risk control dashboards, monitor exposures, perform trend analysis, and maintain system data integrity.
- Deliver accurate report renditions for all investment funds, including NAVs, coupon payment trackers, income attribution, and regulatory submissions.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments covering concentration, liquidity, counterparty, contagion, and credit risks.
- Act as a vital liaison between the front office and back office to promptly identify and resolve transactional discrepancies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in risk management, portfolio management, or a control function.
- Desirable professional qualifications include CFA, CIS, ACCA, or FRM.
- Strong command of financial markets, investment products, valuation methodologies, and capital market intricacies.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Bloomberg, and portfolio management systems.
