About the Role
Evidence Action scales evidence-based interventions to improve the lives of millions across the globe. We manage impactful programs like Dispensers for Safe Water and the Deworm the World Initiative, alongside pioneering innovations for social good. We are currently looking for a diligent Officer, Finance to join our dynamic team in Nigeria to ensure the effective financial management of our operations and impactful programs.
Key Responsibilities- Process payments, invoices, staff advances, and expense claims accurately and in compliance with organizational and donor policies.
- Perform monthly bank, cash, and staff advance reconciliations, swiftly resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist programme teams in tracking expenditures against approved budgets and flagging potential variances or overruns.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records and support both internal and external audit processes.
- Manage vendor relationships, procurement documentation, and payment tracking to ensure seamless operational support.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CNA is a strong added advantage.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within an NGO or structured corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting systems with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
