About the Role
St. Columbanus Secondary School (SCOSSI) is a prominent co-educational Catholic mission boarding school located in Ikwen, Obot Akara Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Founded in 1959 by the St. Patrick Missionary Fathers, Kiltegan, the institution operates under the Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene and is recognized for academic excellence and strong moral formation. We are currently looking for a dedicated Office Computer Operator to join our administrative team and ensure the smooth execution of daily documentation, record-keeping, and communication tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Type, format, and edit official school documents, examination papers, reports, and administrative correspondence.
- Manage the school database, ensuring accurate and secure digital record-keeping of student and staff information.
- Operate office machines such as scanners, photocopiers, printers, and binding machines efficiently.
- Handle incoming and outgoing digital correspondence, including emails and official messaging platforms.
- Assist teachers and administrative staff with computer-related tasks, data entry, and presentations.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive school records and student data at all times.
- Minimum of OND, NCE, or SSCE with relevant professional certification in computer operations or desktop publishing.
- Proven working experience as a computer operator or in a similar administrative office role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with school management software is an added advantage.
