About the Role
WaterBrooks College is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized Office Assistant to join our dynamic administrative team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our daily school operations, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring our records are impeccably maintained to support students, parents, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general administrative and clerical duties including data entry, photocopying, scanning, and filing school documents.
- Maintain and update comprehensive student and staff records in physical and digital formats ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Greet visitors, answer phone inquiries, and direct parents or guests to the appropriate school personnel.
- Assist school administrators in organizing internal and external meetings, school events, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Manage office supplies inventory, track stock levels, and place timely orders for replenishment.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, correspondence, and packages.
- Provide general support to teaching staff and management as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day school activities.
- Possession of a relevant academic qualification such as an OND, NCE, or equivalent certification in Secretarial Studies, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Proven previous experience working as an office assistant, receptionist, or administrative support role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with great attention to detail.
