Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier healthcare institution dedicated to medical excellence, education, and research. We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Nursing Officer II to join our vibrant Anaesthesia department in delivering top-tier patient care within a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients within the Anaesthesia department before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as prescribed by the medical team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and nursing notes.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control standards, and hospital policies.
- Utilize hospital ICT systems for patient management and administrative duties.
- Possess a Nigerian Registered Nurse (NRN) or Nigerian Registered Midwife (NRM) certificate from a recognized institution.
- Must have current registration and a valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- An additional qualification or certification in anaesthetic nursing or a relevant specialty will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrable post-qualification experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
