We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Nursing Officer I (Anaesthetics) to join our dynamic Department of Anaesthesia. In this vital role, you will provide specialized anaesthetic nursing care, collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams, and contribute to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art academic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer safe and effective anaesthetic nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical and medical procedures.
- Monitor patients continuously during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Collaborate closely with anaesthetists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain, check, and ensure the proper functioning of all anaesthetic equipment and emergency supplies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Adhere strictly to professional safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Participate in clinical training, departmental meetings, and continuous professional development programs.
- Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc) or Registered Nurse (NRN) equivalent.
- Specialist certification from an accredited Post-Basic School of Nurse Anaesthesia.
- Current and valid practicing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Minimum of 5 years of active professional practice in Anaesthetics.
- Must be ICT compliant with strong digital literacy for modern healthcare systems.
