About the Role
Court Hill College (Kids Court Secondary School) is a reputable co-educational institution located in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos. We are currently looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Nursery School Teacher to support our early years learning environment, ensuring pupils achieve high standards of academic work and personal conduct in line with our core vision and curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the head class teacher in teaching designated nursery pupils and maintaining high standards of academic and personal conduct.
- Prepare writing, demonstration, craft, and Montessori learning materials, alongside board displays and experimental resources.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and interactive classroom environment, including setting up interactive whiteboards and laptops.
- Receive pupils, collect homework, record daily attendance, and report any absences to the class teacher.
- Provide targeted individualized and group support to pupils, and seamlessly take over class instruction in the absence of the lead teacher.
- Monitor classroom activities, check and correct classwork and homework, and communicate pupil progress effectively.
- Ensure pupil safety within and outside the classroom, safeguard personal belongings, and resolve minor peer conflicts.
- Take responsibility for the safe and efficient use of all learning resources, equipment, and materials at all times.
- Minimum of an NCE, OND, B.Ed, or relevant certification in Early Childhood Education or related fields.
- Proven experience working in a nursery or early years school setting.
- Strong understanding of Montessori methods and early childhood curriculum content.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
