Barachel School is a well-established institution catering to both day and boarding students, dedicated to identifying, encouraging, and nurturing the special qualities of every pupil. We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will ensure the physical health, safety, and well-being of our students, providing prompt medical attention and promoting a healthy school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate first-aid and routine medical care to day and boarding students who fall ill or sustain injuries.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor students with chronic health conditions such as asthma or allergies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all students and staff treated in the clinic.
- Promote health education, hygiene, and wellness practices across the school community.
- Coordinate with school management and parents regarding significant health concerns, medical emergencies, or hospital visits.
- Ensure the school clinic is clean, well-stocked with essential medical supplies, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Must possess a valid nursing license and relevant professional qualifications (RN, RM, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical or school nursing work experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills when dealing with children and teenagers.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during medical emergencies.
- Basic computer literacy for maintaining digital health records is an added advantage.
