About the Role

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a recruit in the Nigerian Army, your duties will include:
- Defending the territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- Participating in internal security operations and peacekeeping missions as assigned.
- Maintaining military discipline, readiness, and adherence to operational standards.
- Undergoing rigorous physical, tactical, and specialized training programs.
Applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Must be single Nigerian citizens by birth with a valid National Identity Card/NIN and BVN slip.
- Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit with no criminal convictions.
- Age limits: 18 to 22 years for non-tradesmen/women, and not more than 26 years for tradesmen/women by 21 October 2026.
- Educational requirement: Minimum of 4 passes including English Language in not more than 2 sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS. Trades applicants must also possess a Trade Test or City and Guild Certificate.
- Height requirements: Minimum of 1.68 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females.
- Must apply using a valid certificate of state of origin.
