Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily content, production workflow, and overall direction of the newspaper publication.
- Assign investigative and breaking news stories to reporters and freelance journalists.
- Review, edit, and polish article drafts to ensure grammatical perfection, factual accuracy, and adherence to editorial style guidelines.
- Collaborate with designers and layout artists to determine engaging final page layouts and visual placements.
- Ensure all published content aligns with Nigerian media laws, ethics, and company standards.
- Mentor, guide, and evaluate junior reporters and editorial staff to foster professional growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven editorial experience in a reputable print or digital media house.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an uncompromising eye for detail.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian current affairs, socio-political landscapes, and media regulations.
