About the Role
The African Medical Centre of Excellence (AMCE) Abuja is seeking a skilled Neurosurgeon to join our 500-bed specialty hospital. Developed by Afreximbank in partnership with King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, AMCE offers advanced diagnostics and comprehensive medical services across Africa. You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, patient-centred care, advancing our neurosurgical capabilities, and shaping the future of medicine in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and surgically treat complex conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.
- Perform advanced cranial and spinal procedures using cutting-edge medical technology.
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings to formulate comprehensive patient treatment plans.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior doctors, residents, and medical students.
- Drive clinical research projects, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and implement evidence-based practices.
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
- Fellowship in Neurosurgery from a recognised international board or college.
- Valid medical licence to practise or eligibility for specialist registration in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-specialisation experience in a high-volume, tertiary care setting.
- Strong portfolio of clinical research and demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
