About the Role
Aster Bloom Academy, a premier private educational institution located in the prestigious Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Benin City, Edo State, is seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher and Saxophonist. Following our recent strategic rebranding from Chucklers Heights Montessori and our exciting expansion into secondary education at our newly developed permanent site, we are building a world-class faculty to nurture well-rounded students.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver comprehensive, engaging music lessons for primary and secondary students.
- Provide specialized instruction in playing the saxophone and other relevant musical instruments.
- Direct and train the school band, choir, and instrumental ensembles for school events and public performances.
- Develop a robust curriculum that fosters both theoretical music knowledge and practical performance skills.
- Identify and nurture musical talent among students, preparing them for internal and external music competitions.
- Maintain musical instruments and equipment in optimal condition.
- Possess a relevant academic qualification in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.
- Proven proficiency in playing the saxophone, with the ability to play additional instruments being a strong advantage.
- Prior experience teaching music in a reputable school or structured music academy is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
